Letter from [Edwin] Ray Lankester, 40 Nottingham Place, to [Joseph Lister], President of the Royal Society Requesting for a report of the Government Grant Committee to be formally corrected after identifying that the enclosed [enclosure not present] report, that was circulated, is incorrect and, that no quorum was present when the resolution appended to his grant was proposed. States that the report that was printes was never presented by the Board and was printed by mistake based on an unfounded assumption that the Board would authorise it. 30 May 1898
