Letter from [Sir William Turner] Thiselton-Dyer, Royal Gardens Kew, to [Sir Michael] Foster, [Secretary of The Royal Society] In reference to Herbert W Dowding's propsal for an expedition in the Islands de Cayuan, onwards to the eastern spurs of the Andes, at a general elevation of 1100-2500 feet until reaching the junction of the rivers Coca and Napo. Estimates the amount of money required and promises to send a map of the proposed route of his journey.
