<dc:title>Letter from Professor [Robert J. Lendlmayer ] von Lendenfeld, K. K. Zoologische Institut, Der Deutschen Universitat Prag, II Weinbergasse, to Professor [Michael] Foster, [Secretary of the Royal Society]</dc:title>
<dc:description>Informing that Dr [Robert Francis] Scharff (1858-1934), zoologist, has aksed of him to work on the large collection of Irish sponges containd within the Dublin Museum under his care. Reports he is happy to do so and that whilst the Royal Irish Academy have granted him a small fund, it is not enough and he still requires a further £50. His applications for funds from institutions and government proved fruitless. He therefore asks if it is possible for the Royal Society to grant him this sum.</dc:description>
