Letter from Robert [Henry] Scott, Meteorological Office, 68 Victoria Street, London, to Mr Harrison, Royal Society Encloses letter [no enclosure present] from Professor Kupfer from April, which he supposes the Society is searching for. There is nothing to show that the Society has dealt with it. Possesses several other letters from Kupffer to Sir E, on the same subject. Has kept all Sir E's letters, in bundles according to authors and organised alphabetically. Few parcels have been given back to the authors. Sir [George Gabriel] Stokes often promised to call and look over the correspondence but has never done so. 22 November 1897
