Letter from Ernest [William] Brown, Haverford College, Haverford, to Professor [Joseph] Larmor, Secretary of the Royal Society Brown appreciates being asked to be a representative of the Royal Society at the jubilee celebration of the University of Wisconsin. However, due to the distance between Madison and Philadelphia and the date of the celebration he would not be able to present himself there. Therefore Brown would not think it right to accept the responsibility, but will do so if the Society 'wishes'. 6 April 1904
