Letter from W Geoffrey Duffield, Physical Laboratory, Manchester University, to the Junior Secretary of the Royal Society Duffield enquires if the Mackinnon Studentship 'may be held with another paid studentship or whether there is anything in the regulations against this'. He has made an application for the Coutts-Trotter Studentship, at Trinity College, Cambridge. Duffield would not like to withdraw his application, however if tere is an objection from the Council of the Royal Society, he will do so. [For reply, see related records]. 27 October 1906
