Letter from [Richard Higgins] Burne, Assistant in the Museum, Royal College of Surgeons of England, Lincoln's Inn Fields, London, to the [Royal Society] Informing the Royal Society that the Royal College of Surgeons Museum has in its possession four anatomical preparations, purchased by John Evelyn, in 1646., who in 1667 apparently donated them to the Royal Society. Requesting the Society to aid him in ascertaining how the College of Surgeons came into their possession, referring to discrepancies in their records. 21 February 1908
