Letter from [Thomas Edward]Thorpe, Government Laboratory, London, WC, to Mr [Robert] Harrison, [Royal Society] Writing in relation to a resolution passed by Council enabling Societies within Burlington House to interchange obituary notices. Informs the matter was recently brought up at a Council meeting of the Chemical Society, by Dr Horace Brown, in relation to Dr [William Augustus] Tilden's preparation of a memorial lecture on [Dmitri Ivanovich] Mendeleeff, suggesting the material put together may serve the Royal Society in writing their own obituary. 27 July 1908
