Letter from the Levelling Division, Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, to [Robert] Harrison, [Royal Society] Informs that the departmnet holds a sympathetic interest in the Magnetic Survey and has already agreed to provide all maps required, free of charge. He is unsure whether they will provide an assistant for [George] Walker and requests that the Royal Society specify Walker's exact requirements, including the duties expected of the assistant, to try and help the cause. 24 November 1913
