Letter from [William Abbot] Herdman, to the Treasurer of the Royal Society, [Royal Society] Infroms of an application to the Percy Sladen Memorial Trustees from Dr Smith Woodward of the British Museum, to meet the expense of engaging a well known Canadian collector to dig out and send to London important dinosaurian fossils. The Sladen Trustees are willing to meet half of the expense and request for the Royal Society to grant £200. 2 June 1916
