Letter from [Charles Scott] Sherrington, 9 Chadlington Road, Oxford, to [Arthur] Schuster, [Royal Society] Identifies that the name 'Chauveau' whom he thought was the one referred to on the Council agenda is not the initial of the Chauveau referred to, as the Chauveau he had in mind was the French physiologist Jean Baptiste Auguste Chauveau, and supposed on account of his great age, was the one whose death was announced.
