Circular from Joseph Milligan, Secretary of the Royal Society of Van Diemen's Land [Tasmania; Lutruwita or Truwana], to the Secretary of the Royal Society Informing the Society of the postage of the first published 'Papers and Proceedings of the Royal Society of Van Diemen's Land'[Tasmania; Lutruwita or Truwana] to John Murray of Albemarle Street. Milligan also transmits copies of his Society's rules and last annual report and reports on their aim to establis a library and museum, alongside a botanical garden, to accumulate natural prodcutions of Tasmania and neighbouring islands. He requests the favour of some books to expand their literature or a general exchange of knowledge. 25 May 1849
