Letter from C [Charles] G Young, Earl Marshal's Office, to C R [Charles Richard] Weld, [Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society] Informing the Society that the Earl Marshal cannot comply with their request for seats for the Council and officers of the Royal Society at St Paul's Cathedral at the funeral of the Duke of Wellington. Similar applications have been received from other public bodies and a large number of the seats have been taken up by the Dean and Chapter of St Paul's. 30 October 1852
