<dc:title>Letter from W E Deighton, Private Secretary to Sir William Bragg, to J D Griffith Davies Esq Assistant Secretary to the Royal Society, c/o Trinity College Cambridge</dc:title>
<dc:description>' Sir William has asked me to enquire whether there is a Council meeting on December 14th, and if so where will it be held?

Unfortunately, Sir William agreed some time ago to give two afternoon lectures at the Royal Institution on December 7th and 14th at 2.30 pm without realising that December 14th was one of the original dates for a Royal Society Council. The dates of the lectures that Sir William is to give have been published in the programme that is sent out to all Royal Institution members and elsewhere, and these programmes have already been circularised.

Can you devise a way out of this difficulty? '</dc:description>
