<dc:title>Letter from E W Playfair to Thomas Ralph Merton, Treasury Chambers, Great George Street, SW1</dc:title>
<dc:description>Playfair wrote to Merton on 24th March asking if they would talk to the Bank of England about Merton's investments. Their combined view is that if Merton decides to go to Flemings he could not do better and they think Merton should consult with them about the names for an advisory committee. They agree that a small committee or three or four would be sufficient. Concurs with names of Ken Goschen, Michael Berry and Terence Maxwell.</dc:description>
