<dc:description>Passing on the best wishes from the President of the Royal Society to Egerton. Martin encloses the requested information for Egerton to prepare a formal address for the Centenary Celebrations of the Chemical Society. He notes that all of the Presidents of the Chemical Society included in the list were also Fellows of the Royal Society, with the exception of A [Arthur] Aikin. He also states that he has found no further relevant references to the Chemical Society in the Council Minutes and in the 'Record'.
