Letter from A V [Archibald Vivian] Hill, Biophysics Research Unit University College London, Gower Street, WC1, to [David Christie] Martin, The Royal Society, Burlington House, W1 Hill advises Martin to consult with Egerton about the publication of the report on the Royal Society Empire Scientific Conference, as 'he had more to do with the Conference than any of the rest of us and he could quite easily give you a judgement on the questions you raise'. He suggests that he could get an answer from Egerton by Air Mail in three or four days and thinks the printing could be delayed until then. Hill agrees that the Report should be distributed without charge to all those who took part in the Conference and to the officials concerned. He discusses the cost of production of this Report. Hill agrees on 2,500 copies but suggests that having 200 copies in reserve would be better than 600. 19 May 1947
