Also encloses a copy of a letter from the Royal Exchange Assurance Company with reference to Clevelands [not attached]. Annotated by Lyons, 13 September, Godalming, noting cheques returned and that Clevelands has been requisitioned. Notes the death of a Mrs Winckworth in 'The Times', assumes this is the wife of the Society's R Winckworth. 11 September 1939
