Copy, letter from A V Hill to Max Born, Department of Natural Philosophy, the University of Edinburgh Thinks that anything along the lines of Born's suggestion would be 'quite inappropriate' for the Royal Society - does not think the officers and Council would consider entering the field of 'morals and politics'. Suggests that if scientists wish to have a code of ethics, it would be the duty of a professional body not a learned society.
