Circular letter from Michael Foster and Lord Rayleigh, Secretaries of the Royal Society, Burlington House, to [Fellows of the Royal Society] Noting Dr. R.H. Gunning's donation of a £1,000 bond at 4% interest for the promotion of Physical Science and Biology and that a committee had been appointed to consider and report on administration of the income. The income would enable a grant of £120 every three years, or six years if alternating between the physical and biological sciences. The committee asks for suggestions on the best means of distributing the fund. 11 February 1895
