<dc:title>Letter from Edward Albert Sharpey Schafer, Department of Physiology, University New Buildings, Edinburgh, to William Bate Hardy, Secretary, the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Dr Lancelot Hogben, an assistant in his department, is the holder of a Mackinnon Studentship. Schafer has received a letter from the Professor of Physioogy at Ann Arbor, Michigan, asking if Schafer can recommend anyone to give instruction there for a period of six months, from February to June next year. There is remuneration and time for research. Before making a recommendation, Hogben is anxious to know if this would affect the tenure of hs Studentship. Before writing to Professor Gesell, Schafer would like to know if Council is likely to agree to this proposal. </dc:description>
