<dc:title>Letter from Lancelot Thomas Hogben, Animal Breeding Research Department, High School Yards, The University, Edinburgh, to [the Assistant Secretary, the Royal Society]</dc:title>
<dc:description>Applying for the first remittance of his Mackinnon Studentship. He has learned from Dr. Crew that he wrote to the Secretary regarding a proposal that Hogben should deliver a short course, and he received a reply enquiring whether any remuneration was involved. Hogben has only provisionally considered the proposal, on the understanding that it would only be with the consent of Royal Society Council and that the status would be honorary as far as remuneration was concerned. </dc:description>
