Correspondence on a scheme for the the purchase of Down House Letters on the possible purchase for the nation of Down House in Kent, the home of Charles Darwin. The original scheme was initiated from America and the file contains letters of Henry Fairfield Osborne, of the American Museum of Natural History, New York.
