'Calculation of the error of Mr Arnold's pocket Chronometer No. 36 in the months by the trial at the Royal Observatory in 1779 and 1780, by Nevil Maskelyne Maskelyne giving this information so it can be compared to the errors noted in Mr Mudge's time-keepers. Thomas Mudge petitioned Parliament after his Father's instrument to determine Longitude was awarded £500. Mudge believed it should have claimed the higher sums offered by the Board of Longitude. c.1793
