<dc:title>Letter from George Shuckburgh-Evelyn to Sir Joseph Banks</dc:title>
<dc:description>Informs Banks that William Windham MP has told him that he proposes to name his own Committee (on Mudge's Petition to the House of Commons); namely, Pitt, Fox, Gregor, Bragge, Rider, William Windham and Shuckburgh Evelyn.

Thomas Mudge petitioned Parliament after his Father's instrument to determine Longitude was awarded £500. Mudge believed it should have claimed the higher sums offered by the Board of Longitude.

With draft reply from Banks giving his opinion on this.</dc:description>
