<dc:title>Letter from Edward Sabine, Athenaeum to Humphrey Lloyd, Trinity College, Dublin</dc:title>
<dc:description>The system of Russian observatories which will cooperate with the British magnetic scheme has been agreed by the Minister and sent to the Emperor for final approval. [Heinrich Ludwig von] Boguslawski (director of the Breslau observatory) has written to Sabine to confirm that he would be delighted for his observatory to take part in the British magnetic scheme too, but requires two more magnetometers in order to do so.

Lord Northampton has appointed Sabine as 'one of his V.P.S'. </dc:description>
