<dc:title>Letter from Humphrey Lloyd, Trinity College, Dublin to Charles James Buchanan Riddell </dc:title>
<dc:description>Discussion on the new instruments. Lloyd discusses the stability and simplicity of the instrument, suggest placing the box and telescope of induction inclinometer on a fixed solid base. Lloyd states how the determination of the angle of deflection is made, and the advantages of placing it on a separate circular divided instrument.

Lloyd has recently received his dip circle from [Henry] Barrow. Lloyd is putting up a new and improved anemometer in the Dublin observatory. Lloyd was sorry to spend so little time with Lieutenant [Strange] and hopes he will arrange a day or two in Dublin.</dc:description>
