Thirty-second report of progress of excavations by William Pengelly and Edward Vivian, Torquay, to the British Association Kent's Cavern Committee Monthly report of the superintendents of exploration. The south-west gallery excavation is ongoing - numerous rocks of limstone and 'extremely thick' stalagmitic floor. Teeth and remains of horse, bear, fox, rhinoceros, and hyena have been found alongside smaller mammals. They found the upper jaw of a bear, containing two canines and molars, in the stalagmitic floor. Some bones have been split lengthways and others have teeth marks. 2 March 1868
