  <dc:title>Sixty-third report of progress of excavations by William Pengelly and Edward Vivian, Torquay, to the British Association Kent's Cavern Committee</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Monthly report of the superintendents of excavation. Work is progressing in The Sloping Chamber. The deposits consists of overlying black mould, granular stalagmite, and cave-earth. The black mould has yielded bones of various recent animals, several species of marine shells, various pebbles, and other human industrial remains including a spindle whorl and bone awl. The cave-earth has an unusually large amount of limestone present alongside blocks of old crystalline stalagmite. A list of teeth from various animals found in the cave-earth includes: hyena, horse, rhinoceros, deer, reindeer, fox, ox, megaceros, elephant, bear, lion, and wolf. </dc:description>
