Letter from William Radcliffe Birt, Kew Observatory to Dr Royle Birt is sending Dr Royle the accounts of expenses for the payment of the ‘first portion’. Mr [Francis] Ronalds informed Birt that he did not have any funds to spare. Birt expenses form a small part of the whole, therefore he has kept the accounts separate. 11 July 1850
