<dc:title>Letter from Charles Brooke, 29 Keppel Street to Edward Sabine</dc:title>
<dc:description>Brooke is sending Sabine Captain [Henry] Lefroy’s model register. Captain ‘S’ is expecting a magnet however Brooke has not been requested to supply him with one. Brooke a succeeded with a complete thermometer register in which the place of the mercury and the scale of the thermometer are ‘impressed’ on the paper, and describes his method for achieving this. Suggests putting a short summary of this instrument along with a sample of the results in the [Philosophical] Transactions. Discussion on estimating the value of the scale in parts of force in the bifilar.</dc:description>
