<dc:title>Letter from Antoine [Thomson] d'Abbadie, Paris to Edward Sabine</dc:title>
<dc:description>Abbadie recently received Sabine’s note of the 8th, and references being named the corresponding member of the British Association. Abbadie is flattered by this honour and alludes to a getting a positive feeling by British ‘philosophery’, who in his opinion had been under the influence of a competitor in Ethiopia. Abbadie notes that Sabine has been the only supporter of his work.

A note written by Abbadie was published in the latest edition of the cosmos, though was not intended for publication. Abbadie is currently correcting his paper on thunder and would like to call on Sabine next week in London.</dc:description>
