  <dc:description>Emran includes a copy of a letter he wrote to W J Askham, the clerk of the Assistant General Secretary to the British Association regarding the publication of Erman’s ‘report on the computation of the Gaussian magnetic constants’ in which he expresses an understanding that ‘the printing will never be executed’ and informs Askham if he does not see proofs from the printer by July he shall send his work to Astronomische Nachrichten to be published. Erman makes additional comments to Sabine regarding the Astronomische Nachrichten.</dc:description>
