<dc:title>Letter from Robert Lewis John Ellery, Melbourne Observatory to Edward Sabine</dc:title>
<dc:description>Update regarding the purchase of instruments. Ellery has ‘inadvertently’ made a mistake not ordering magnetic instruments through the Kew Committee in order not to be ‘troublesome’. In Ellery’s opinion it is unjustifiable to charge extra for a mistake. Ellery expresses his regret at not taking the correct action in ordering the magnetic instruments. Ellery informs that the ‘Legislature’ has voted £5000 for their new reflector.</dc:description>
