<dc:title>Letter from Balfour Stewart, Kew Observatory to [Edward Sabine]</dc:title>
<dc:description>Stewart sends Sabine Kew curves for March during an eclipse. Stewart remarks he has been unable to see ‘any evidence’ of an eclipse in the curves. Refers to the total eclipse of July 1860, and connection ‘between the Florence and Kew disturbances’. Stewart refers to making comparisons of curves and publishing photolithographs of disturbances with Mr Capello. Stewart has funds for a similar purpose and hopes [Giovanni Battista] Donati will join them.</dc:description>
