<dc:title>Report of the Committee .... appointed for the purpose of communicating to the Russian Government the opinion of the British Association' on the question of a magnetic observatory at Tiflis.</dc:title>
<dc:description>Regarding a resolution passed by the Greenwich Committee at a meeting of the British Association in 1864, to appoint a Committee “for the purpose of communicating to the Russian Government the opinion of the British Association regarding the establishment of magnetical observations on the Kew system at the Observatory of Tiflis by Professor Moritz”. Sabine notes as he was not present at the Bath meeting and was unaware of what has ‘passed’ at the meeting. Refers to a letter [see MS/257/4/91] Sabine wrote to Mr [William] Hopkins, the General Secretary [of the British Association].</dc:description>
