<dc:title>Copy letter, James Hudson, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society, to Professor [William] Whewell</dc:title>
<dc:description>The Committee of Papers has asked for Whewell's refereeing of five papers: two by Mr [John Wiliam] Lubbock on physical astronomy, with a note on the tides; one by [John Frederic] Daniell on the water barometer; and one of Hudson's own on the same topic. The committee would like to receive the reports before the next meeting in a fortnight's time. Hudson will forward the tables to accompany his paper in a few days. </dc:description>
