Copy letter, John George Children, Secretary of the Royal Society, British Museum, to Thomas Spring Rice M.P. The Duke of Sussex acknowledges the receipt of Spring Rice's letter and is pleased to learn that the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury will comply with the President's suggestion to transfer rooms in Somerset House, formerly Exchequer Offices, to the Royal Society and Royal Astronomical Society. Sussex asks to be informed as soon as the rooms are no longer needed. Sussex further recommends that space lately used by the Privy Seal Office should be offered to the Geological Society. 17 April 1834
