Copy letter, JWL [John William Lubbock], RS [Royal Society], to Revd J [Josiah] Forshall He has directed Mr Hudson to hand over the [Arundel] manuscripts to Forshall, of the British Museum. He asks if the Trustees desire the Oriental manuscripts presented to the Royal Society by Sir William Jones. In asking the question, he has no authority from Council at present. A detailed receipt of the Arundel material, specifying the manuscripts concerned, should be compiled. 13 December 1834
