Copy letter, JWL [John William Lubbock], RS [Royal Society], to Capt [Francis] Beaufort Mr Ulrick [John Gottlieb Ulrich?], whom Beaufort knows, has applied to the Royal Society for assistance from the Donation Fund, to make an escapement. He asks Beaufort to relay what he knows about Ulrick and he will use the information with discretion. He would be glad of an answer before the committee meeting. 11 July 1835
