<dc:title>Copy letter from [John William] Lubbock, Treasurer of the Royal Society; to C. Few Esq.</dc:title>
<dc:description>Requests an update on the situation of the appeal of the Mablethrope Estate, so it can be bought to the Council. Understands that so far, the appeal had been resolved in the Royal Society's favour in the House of Lords, but there are no records of the terms pronounced. Understands at the the time these would have to wait until Lord [Henry Peter] Broughan returned from the Continent. States he 'returned long since' but the Royal Society has heard nothing.</dc:description>
