Copy letter from C R [Charles Richard] Weld, the Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Dr [John] Stenhouse Informs a receipt for the payment of the annual subscription fee was sent to John Stenhouse, instead of Dr Alen Thomson of Glasgow. Weld realised the payment without a signature was from Thomson afterwards and asks for the receipt's return. A Council meeting will be tomorrow where Stenhouse's paper will be read. 10 April 1850
