Copy letter from Walter White, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society, B H [Burlington House], to Rev [Reverend] T P [Thomas Penyngton] Kirkman Acknowledges Kirkman's request to borrow section 3 of the manuscript of Kirkman's paper on 'Polyedra'. White informs him that this request will be presented to the Council at their next meeting, but warns Kirkman of the rarity of the Council allowing an archival manuscript to leave the Society. White notes that Kirkman's paper is bound into a volume with other manuscripts, where it can easily be consulted, and that the Council would allow Kirkman or his representative to consult or copy the required section from the manuscript. 25 May 1865
