Copy letter from [Michael] Foster, Secretary of the Royal Society; to J. Moysey, Esq. Gives thanks for bringing to the attention of the Society the sale of a Telescope in possession of the relatives the late Mr. [Golding] Bird, which J. Moysey purchased. Informs Moysey that they had no right to sell it as it was the property of the Royal Society. Asks for it to be returned by hand and assures a reimbursement will be considered.
