Letter from Kennedy P Orton, University College of North Wales, to [James C] Philip, Assistant Secretary to the Royal Society Has 5lbs of acetal ready to send off -- has made a number of experiments on the preparation, and is now finding a procedure for dealing with the aldehyde solution -- notes that the fractionation process that Philip suggested is a laborious process, but has arranged his method so as to avoid excess alcohol in the acetal in future runs. 16 January 1916
