Letter from [James C Philip], Assistant Secretary of the Chemistry Sub-Committee, to Kennedy J P Orton, University College, North Wales Thanks Orton for his letter agreeing to assist in the production of paraldehyde -- notes that alcoholic solution of acetaldehyde would not be much use to the committee, but forwards some notes from Henderson at Gloasgow with the method of preparing the paraldehyde from acetaldehyde. Would need to have 5lbs a week, or as much as the laboratory can produce. Mentions that any of the men working in the laboratory on this work would be eligible to apply for a War Service Badge. 27 November 1915
