Letter from [James C Philip], Assistant Secretary of the Chemistry Sub-Committee to K J P Orton, University College of North Wales Thanks Orton for his letter -- thinks it will be necessary to remove the catalyst but the equilibrium mixture should be sufficient -- suggests that he send the mixture when he has a good amount, so Philip can test it in place of pure paraldehyde. Is not sure if there is some impurity in alcohol that is responsible for destroying the catalyst. 8 December 1915
