Letter from D Noel Paton to William B Hardy Informs Hardy that Beveridge has called a meeting of the Rationing Committee, that he cannot attend -- that Beveridge wants to readjust rationing of non-cereal foods, 'a foolish procedure in face of our last report' -- suggests that it would be well to have the memo on the necessity of maintaining fat in the Ministry's hands before the meeting. 30 March 1918
