Letter from D Noel Paton to William B Hardy Wonders if he should attend the next Committee meeting -- notes that the Committee 'doesn't seem to have much say with the authorities' as bread rationing was carried out against its recommendations and soya bean is now excluded -- says the Germans have appreciated the value of soya and 'will be laughing up their sleeves at our depriving ourselves of so concentrated an additive to our food stuff.' 27 February 1917
