Letter from William B Hardy to C Taylor Notes that the organisation for the collection of the chestnuts is complete -- that a number of sacks has been secured and the chestnuts can be collected throughout the winter -- that there was some difficulty in arranging to pay [the schoolchildren] for collecting -- thanks [Taylor] for his letter and hopes that 'many thousands of tons of food stuffs will be saved.' 9 August 1917
